The regular factory Demo Lens

Each pair of eyeglasses that we sell comes straight from the factory with something called a "demo" lens.
You may be familiar with this lens. The factory demo lens is a plastic lens that contains the brand name stamped into the lens on the bottom right hand corner.

Some examples of what a "Demo Lense" looks like inside the frame. We can order any demo lens for you for most eyeglasses from the Manufacturer

Standard Magnification Drug Store Lens

Your vision may be great, but you are starting to find it hard to read very small print. By adding a standard magnification lens to your frame, you will never have this problem again. The standard magnification lens comes in different strength powers such as +1,+2,+3..etc. You will be able to select your strength power on the next step.

To find the correct strength for your frames that you need, have a look at this image from 14 inches away. The largest line you have difficulty reading is the strength you need (the powers are located next to each line).

Reading, Distance or Single Vision Prescription Lens

The single vision eyeglass prescription is written by an eyewear prescriber such as an optomotrist. It gives the wearer the values of all the parameters that are needed to construct the corrective lens for the patient. Patients who suffer from myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia require the regular use of a single vision prescription. Single vision prescription lenses are the most common types of eyeglasses lenses. They are made to be used to see objects in the distance, and are great for the daily everyday use for walking ,shopping ,reading and driving. On the next form you will be required to enter in your prescription in the web form or alternatively you can send us your written prescription via fax or email.

Bifocals Lens

Bifocals are designed to have one segment for near vision and one segment for far vision. Bifocals allow you to focus through various prescriptions at different distances through the same lens , this is why the lens is called Bifocals. This lens type has one segment for distance and one for near. Bifocals are typically prescribed for people over the age of 40, who have lost their ability to focus on close work. The Bifocal Lens is only a convenience, they are not necessary if your lifestyle needs can be met with single vision glasses.

Progressive Lens / No Line Bifocal Lens

Progressive lenses which are also referred to as no line bifocals, provide the same visual correction that traditional bifocals do, but the sophisticated design eliminates the visible lines of standard bifocals . No one will know whether you're wearing a pair of glasses just for fashion or because you are unable to see up close. Over the last couple of years, the progressive lens design has been improved to reduce peripheral aberrations. First time wearers of this lens are comfortable with progressive lenses immediately.
